This shade is often compared to MAC’s Soft Brown eye shadow, but it is slightly deeper and darker in pigment. I apply it all over with a fluffy brush to my crease like I would with Soft Brown, but it provides a more noticeable and warmer color payoff.
Overall, I have been impressed with the pigmentation of all of Makeup Geek eye shadow shades (I own 5). I am definitely looking to expand my collection in the near future. I still think Soft Brown is the better universal blending shade because Creme Brûlée is too warm to use with brighter and cooler colors. Still, it’s a must buy. I’d definitely repurchase the shade and for prices significantly lower than MAC’s, Makeup Geek is a valuable investment.
