Short, dense brushes like these are ideal for applying all over lid colors.
I have a similar model from BareMinerals that I have used for years. It finally felt like time to trade up for a newer model. The E55 works well for applying all over lid color whether it is a loose or pressed powder eye shadow. Using a dense brush like this tends to prevent fallout on to cheeks, but I really can’t say that Sigma’s brush does that better or worse than other brands.
A brush like this does not need to be very expensive to be effective. But, I would recommend purchasing one slightly above drugstore quality to help prevent fallout. Cheaper brushes also tend to shed bristles, which is particularly annoying when working close to the eyes.
