Freeman Feeling Beautiful Charcoal & Black Sugar Polishing Mask

The little travel-size towers they put near the registers in Ulta are dangerous. Everything seems so cheap and cute and small, but it tends to be a waste of money.

I have discovered some winning products out of my impulse travel size purchases, like the Body Shop Tea Tree Mask and 24/7 Oil Blotting Tissues.

After being tempted (yet again) to buy this sample mask pouch, I was disappointed.

Here’s why:

NYX Lip Liner in Natural

I was looking for a neutral lip liner that I could use on its own or under nude lip products and this one seemed to fit the bill.

It matches my natural lip color very closely and I have found that it works very well for defining my lip line with an untraceable color.  It just makes my lips look more defined and no one can tell I am wearing anything on my lips.

Essentially it is my “your lips, but better” lip liner.

If you are interested in creating that super full, Kylie Jenner lip look, but aren’t confident with over lining your lips, I would recommend starting out with this liner.  It is subtle enough that if you get carried away overdrawing the line you won’t end up looking like a clown.

I carry this everywhere with me now.  It is always in my makeup bag and I love using it to line my lips when I want to look flawless, but like I wasn’t trying too hard.

Mac Vanilla Pigment

The ultimate inner corner highlight. Hands down.

I have talked about L’Oreal’s Infallible Eye Shadow in Iced Latte here and named it as dupe for Mac’s Pigment in Vanilla.  Now, after having using Vanilla for a while, I can safely say I prefer it to the drugstore version.

If you already own Iced Latte I don’t think you need to run out and buy the Vanilla pigment, but L’Oreal’s version is $7.99 and you can now buy this to-go sized version of the Mac pigment for $10.  So for just a couple more dollars, you get a higher-end, more beautiful product.  Plus, you only need the tiniest amount of product so I think this small container will last you a lifetime.

I am personally a fan of a dramatic inner corner highlight, so I like a product like this that offers an intense shimmer and is really going to elevate the simplest of eye looks.  I think this pigment is too glittery to use under the brow bone, but it has become my favorite for the inner corner.  On days when I don’t use it, my eyes never look nearly as open or bright.

Lush Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar

I love penguins.  I had to buy this.  You can’t not like a Christmas penguin that makes your bath bubbly.

His scent is orange/bergamot and I liked it when I sniffed it in the store.  After soaking in the bath for a while, I realized this scent was not for me and it seemed to smell a little dirty.  Obviously, scent is a personal preference so some people may absolutely love it, but I wasn’t a fan.

However, of all the Lush Bubble Bars I have tried, this one seemed to create this softest, most luxurious bubbles.  It was so nice to lay in the bath and play with the frothy foam; if only it had smelled better.
