The NYX Micro Brow Pencil is the drugstore’s answer to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, my all time favorite brow product.
Does it measure up?
The Brow Wiz is my holy grail brow product, so I was hoping to find a drugstore alternative that delivered the same results for a lower price.
The results are in! This is a great dupe for the Brow Wiz. On both, one end has a super fine, twist up, waxy pencil and the other is a spooly. I have both products in the taupe shade, but I was skeptical that the Micro Brow would be too warm, as is typically the problem with drugstore brow products. But, the color is perfect; I might even say identical to the ABH option.
The fine nib allows me to mimic the look of hairs and the waxy formula helps keep brows in place (although I still need to set both products with a brow gel). I will say that the NYX version does seem to be slightly less pigmented and require more layers and time to build up the same look at the ABH one. But, I think I prefer that just because it allows me to go for a subtler or a stronger brow depending on my mood.
The versatility is great and for $10, instead of the ABH $21, I think this is an excellent drugstore brow product. I will be repurchasing this instead of the Brow Wiz when I run out, which is the sign of a great dupe.
