The Best Lip Products to Keep In Your Purse

IMG_0781

Purse Glosses. These are the lip products that will go with any look and you can apply easily without a mirror. I am guilty of keeping up to 10 lip products in my purse at a time so I can easily change my look at the drop of a hat, but the ones I tend to reach for most are the low maintenance, neutral, hydrating options. I’ve selected 3 of my tried and true favorites that look great even if your lips are dry or the rest of your makeup has gone wonky.

Starting with an obvious favorite of mine, the Revlon Lip Butter in Cotton Candy is beautiful. Probably the most hydrating for the 3, I love the formula because it nourishes while still giving a subtle gloss effect. Honorable mentions go out to the Lip Butters in Pink Truffle and Crème Brulee, Cotton Candy is just slightly more universal in my opinion.

I spoke about the Buxom Full On Lip Cream in White Russian in my Valentine’s Day post. This is the high-shine, day-to-night option. Its plumping effect, minty scent and neutral color make it the ultimate option for date night. For a higher price than my other 2 picks, you get those added benefits. Although this is not a drugstore option, I think it is worth the investment if you seriously love nude glosses and are looking for something to easily amp up your look.

NYX Beautiful Mega Shine Lip Gloss is an old cult favorite. It is a recent discovery for me and the hot pink color of the tube terrified me. I thought this would look very bright, pigmented and glittery when I applied it. I was so wrong. This is the ultimate purse gloss because it is none of those things. You can definitely apply it without a mirror and it gives a natural shine to the lips. It’s not as glossy as the Buxom option or as colorful as the Lip Butter, but for NYX prices, you can’t beat it. Beautiful, really is beautiful and easy to keep with you at all times.

  1. I love those lip butters! Pink Truffle is my purse go-to, as it is most flattering on my skin tone! I really want to try that cotton candy one though! That buxom gloss looks wonderful, I will get my hands on it someday!
