Batiste Dry Shampoo

Batiste has become a daily fixture in my beauty routine.

Since I dyed my hair platinum blonde, it’s gotten WAY less oily and I am so pleased.  Now I can go 4 days without washing my hair if I want to.  It’s fantastic.  And also means that I can keep the curl in my hair for longer.

Tangle Teezer

This was supposed to solve my hair’s tangle problems.  I’ve heard other bloggers rave about it and sing it’s praises.

I have fine hair that tangles extremely easily and this contraption looked promising.  I thought it would help me be able to brush through my hair easily and maybe make brushing wet hair a little more painless.

Design wise, the Tangle Teezer is very ergonomic and comfortable to hold in your hand and maneuver through your hair.  I like that it doesn’t have a handle, but to achieve a similar effect you can simply hold your regular brush by the barrel and not the handle to get more control.

The bristles don’t seem to be groundbreaking in terms of actually alleviating tangles.

If you need a new brush, this one isn’t bad, it just isn’t fantastic either.

Bumble & Bumble Pret-a-Powder

This is my new OBSESSION.
I normally do not use any hair products and allow my hair to air dry to prevent damage.
Being blonde means my hair looks immediately oily if if go over 24 hours without washing it. Therefore, I have tried dry shampoos to no avail and am constantly looking for a way to avoid having to wash my hair everyday.
Having fine hair also means a lack of volume and my hair is often limp and oily unless it is freshly washed and dried.
This product has fixed all of my hair woes.
Just shake a small amount of the powder on your roots and rub it in. It magically reduces the look of oil and gives your hair massive volume. Then your hair is revived and primed for styling.
My second day hair is now socially acceptable for public.
This product is a must have.

Hair: Knot Braid & Around the World Braid

I am lucky enough to have a sister as my hair dresser.  When she wanted me to be a model so she could practice some new braiding techniques, I jumped at the chance.

After using a texturizing flat iron all over my hair, she did the knot braid (left).

Next, she tried the around the world braid leaving out a curled tendril of my bangs.

This is such a great style to try if you’re tired of the same old curls.
