Milani Baked Blushes are a thing of beauty. Their marbled look and textured shimmer make them the cheap version of the coveted Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes.
Luminoso has been a favorite of mine since I discovered it. I wasn’t sure which color to try next and then Mac’s Warm Soul had a spotlight moment on the interwebs. Berry Amore is supposedly a dupe for Warm Soul so I decided to try it out instead since it is the more affordable option.
I had been hearing about the new Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara so I had to pick it up (Make sure you print off the $3 off manufacturers coupon you can find online so its only $5!).
Instead of going to Ulta to earn rewards points like I typically do for my drug store makeup splurges, I chose CVS because they carry Milani and I had to have another one of their Baked Blushes. Luminoso is amazing so I opted to try Berry Amore because Amelia Liana insisted it was a good dupe for Mac’s Warm Soul Mineralize Blush. I’ll report back on that.
As if I didn’t have enough Revlon Lip Butters. I had to try this color. I bought Crème Brulee, a very nude shade. It looked intimidating-ly brown in the tube, but I love the look it gives the lips.

Becca’s Opal highlighter is the talk of the town lately. I knew it would be too dark for me and swatching it in Ulta confirmed that. Moonstone is the only shade light enough to work on my skin, but all of the Pressed Skin Perfectors seem to give a just as beautiful an effect just with different tones. If you have a medium skin tone definitely check out Opal.
Moonstone is slightly yellow in tone. I find that it is very neutral and goes with any color blush or eye shadow. Some highlighters tend to appear very gold or very pink and don’t go with every makeup look. This highlighter can be worn with any color scheme as long as you’re looking to add some serious shimmer.
None of the other highlighters I’ve tried are as shimmery as this one. It borders on being glittery, but doesn’t quite cross that line. Still, be warned that these highlighters deliver some serious shine and probably aren’t appropriate for everyday makeup.
Today’s makeup look was all about cool neutral colors since I was wearing sliver accessories.
I knew I wanted to used my Lorac Pro 2 Palette so I opted for Cool Gray in the crease, Silver on the lid and Snow as my highlight shade.
To compliment the silvery shades I used Rockateur blush by Benefit. It is a rose gold blush that has cool undertones with hints of gold to warm up the face.
Finally I went with Jennifer’s Nude from L’Oreal on the lips to complete the look.
