This post is quite late! My apologies, but the little guy is too cute not to post. And people lust after the Lush holiday collection all year, so I think March is as good a time as any to post a review.
I preferred the smell of this one to the Christmas Penguin, but the bubbles were not as soft in my opinion. Maybe that’s just all in my head. They were quite similar in color and size.
Obviously it’s cute and you buy it purely for the pleasure of having a hedgehog shaped bath bar.
The Love Locket Bath Bomb from Lush is one of their limited time Valentine’s Day products. It was too cute not to buy. Plus, they were all out of the Unicorn Horn Bath Bomb at my local Lush, so I had to settle for something else.
The Comforter is easily one of my favorite products from Lush.
I mean look at the color. It turns your bath a super fun shade of pink and smells delicious, like currants. To me, this left the best smell lingering around my bathroom and was a cool color without dyeing the sides of my tub. It’s also big enough to get 3 baths with sufficient bubbles out of it.
I love penguins. I had to buy this. You can’t not like a Christmas penguin that makes your bath bubbly.
His scent is orange/bergamot and I liked it when I sniffed it in the store. After soaking in the bath for a while, I realized this scent was not for me and it seemed to smell a little dirty. Obviously, scent is a personal preference so some people may absolutely love it, but I wasn’t a fan.
However, of all the Lush Bubble Bars I have tried, this one seemed to create this softest, most luxurious bubbles. It was so nice to lay in the bath and play with the frothy foam; if only it had smelled better.
While it is bright yellow on the outside, the core of this bath bomb is blue. Your bath turns the craziest bright green color. While that sounds off putting, it really isn’t. It was mesmerizing to see the bath change color as the bath bomb fizzed.
Being bright green made the bath fun, but I wasn’t as big of a fan of the scent as I thought I would be. Apple is one of my favorite fragrances so I was expecting to really enjoy this Lush product. Even after soaking in the bath for quite a while, the scent was not very strong. The notes of apples and cinnamon were overpowered by a sweet candy fragrance, which was ok, but not what I was expecting.
At the center of Fizzbanger is a slip of paper that says “BANG!” in a comic book speech bubble; a cute touch that made the melting of the bath bomb even more exciting.
I can’t complain too much about a relaxing, bright green bath, but this is definitely not one of my favorite Lush bath products and I probably won’t be repurchasing it.
This bubble bar wasn’t the most bubbly, but it did smell fantastic.
A French Kiss bath smells like romantic lavender and wraps you in relaxation.
If you’ve never used Lush Bubble Bars before you crumble them under the tap as you’re running the bath and voilà! A bubble bath!
It tinted my bath a subtle shade of purple and there were some bubbles floating around, but it did not produce as many bubbles as my Lush Comforter Bubble Bar. I was pretty disappointed that it wasn’t super bubbly, and more bubbles is really the only thing that could have improved my bath experience.
At the end of the day, this was a nice way to relax and spend some quality time in the bath. The scent made up for any lack of lather and it left my skin feeling soft and smelling fresh.
