As promised, I am here today to review the new, and very hyped Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. This was advertised to death and I have to say the campaign convinced me to buy it.
Pink might be my favorite makeup color to wear. Today I combined some of my favorite pink products to create a wearable, winter makeup look.
After recent dabblings in high-end bases (and a particularly long stint of loyalty to the Diorskin Nude BB Crème) I have regressed to some old favorites.
I made a cheeky trip to CVS!
I had been hearing about the new Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara so I had to pick it up (Make sure you print off the $3 off manufacturers coupon you can find online so its only $5!).
Instead of going to Ulta to earn rewards points like I typically do for my drug store makeup splurges, I chose CVS because they carry Milani and I had to have another one of their Baked Blushes. Luminoso is amazing so I opted to try Berry Amore because Amelia Liana insisted it was a good dupe for Mac’s Warm Soul Mineralize Blush. I’ll report back on that.
As if I didn’t have enough Revlon Lip Butters. I had to try this color. I bought Crème Brulee, a very nude shade. It looked intimidating-ly brown in the tube, but I love the look it gives the lips.
More in depth reviews of all these products coming soon!
The formula of the Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipsticks is wonderful. It is moisturizing and the color is very pigmented and does not cling to dry patches or look scary as it wears off. But, this lipstick is supposed to have a matte finish—I would say it is a satin or semi-matte finish at best. It does not really apply or dry completely matte and since it is very creamy it is hard to expect it to dry to a matte finish.
That being said, I really like the look it gives and this color is another beautiful brown-y, pink nude for the fall. Just don’t buy this expecting it to give a super matte effect.
I’m a fan of the formula of the Maybelline Color Tattoos, so I can’t be too hard on this product.
Bad to the Bronze is my favorite shade, and this one is no where near as high impact.
Inked in Pink is a very subtle shell pink color. I was hoping that it would apply a little darker, but it applies as a very light shimmer with just a pink tint.
For super effortless and natural makeup this can be used alone as an all over lid shade, but it you want a more noticeable eye look I would recommend using this as a base. The formula is kind of a cream to matte situation that blends easily, but then sets and doesn’t budge. If you add powder shadows over top before it sets it will act as an eye shadow base and give you long wear.
Check out the Maybelline Color Tattoos, there are tons of colors, they are versatile and worth it. There is a color for everyone.

This is my everyday face. A complete list of products is below with links to buy! I wore this ensemble or some slight variation of it most days throughout the month!
–Lorac Pro Palette: I use the shade Gold
This eye product is another one of my current favorites. I have three of these cream eye shadow Color Tattoos and I think they are very useful depending on the color.
This bronze color is definitely my favorite to layer under gold and warm brown eye looks. I’ll use a transition shade in the crease and then put this all over the lid. On its own it is pretty and has a subtle shimmer, but with a gold over top it really sparkles and intensifies gold and brown shadows.
Bronze is a good go-to shade for all eye colors, so if you’re looking for something to add subtle sparkle to your eyes this is a good option. It does not apply very dark on its own, rather it provides a dark beige shimmer. I personally like that because it is not too intense of a bronze and you can build up the pigmentation and layer other shadows over top to achieve different looks.
