Nars Rue Bonaparte Eyeliner

I love the look of a nude liner in the waterline and this is “Larger than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner” has delivered the best results for me. The formula is soft enough that it glides on easily, but not so creamy that it makes the waterline sticky.

NARS All Day Luminous Powder Foundation

This is a luminous powder foundation. While it does add coverage when used on top of a liquid foundation or BB cream, I was hoping for a little bit more.

Nars Audacious Lipstick in Anna

My favorite part of this lipstick has to be the packaging.  If you haven’t experienced the magnetic closure of these new Nars lipsticks, then you have to find your nearest Sephora or Nordstroms and try it out.

The magnetic snap when it closes is so satisfying.

My second favorite thing has to be the color.  Nars Anna is a deep pink.  It has mauvy, cool undertones, which I love and help your teeth look whiter.

I will definitely be wearing this color a lot in the fall and probably all year because it is a deep color, but isn’t too shocking or bold for everyday.  That means it is office and school appropriate, but you’ll still make a makeup statement.

The entire Nars Audacious lipstick line is inspired by and named after Hollywood starlets.  All of the colors are bold, luxurious and make a statement.  The formula is also very creamy and feels very hydrating.  It did seem to bleed slightly and look a tad messy after while so I would recommend using a lip liner, but I am still satisfied with this lipstick purchase.

Easy Go-To Makeup from Tanya Burr

This is an easy makeup look that I think anyone can achieve with items they probably already have in their makeup collection.

Using bronzer as eye shadow is one of my favorite beauty tricks.  You can even simplify Tanya’s look further by only using one foundation and one concealer and using the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze instead of the Chanel cream shadow.

Makeup of the Day: August 21st, 2014

Today was all about the purples.

The By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock was my starting point.  I absolutely love the sparkly and sophisticated look it gives to the eyes with just a simple swipe.  (Check out my in depth review here.)  I placed Misty Rock all over the lid and along the lower lash line and blended it out with Limit from the Naked 3 Palette in the crease. Limit and Nooner are great transition shades from this palette which I reviewed as well.

To stay consistent with the purple theme I went with Sin blush from Nars. The dark purple color may seem intimidating for a blush shade, but it’s actually very wearable as I explain here.

Finally, Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fig topped off the look with bold purple lips.
