Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Scorch

IMG_0524 IMG_0529

This eyeliner is my new waterline favorite!

It is a bright, true gold that applies super pigmented in just one swipe.  I like using this on the waterline to brighten up warm smokey eyes and add some sparkle.  Gold will compliment any eye color and this pencil really adds something special.

I have spoken about the L’Oreal Silkissime Eyeliner in Highlighter as my favorite rose gold highlighter for the waterline, but this Urban Decay eyeliner has WAY better staying power.  While these pencils are $20 and much more expensive than the L’Oreal version, the lasting power is worth the splurge.

Instead of using the typical black or nude on the waterline, a bright gold is fresh for fall and worth a try.

Used my birthday gift cards to go on a major Ulta shopping spree!

Makeup of the Day: Warm Pink

Today I was rocking a warm, pink, glowing look.

Here are some of the key components:

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette:  I used the shades Dust, Limit, Buzz, Nooner and Strange.  Read my full review of the palette here.

-Chanel Rouge Allure in 88 Évanescente:  I rave about my favorite lipstick in my National Lipstick Day Post.

Nars Blush in Deep Throat:  A universal, shimmery pink.

Tarte Picture Perfect Eyelash Curler:  A daily necessity for added drama.

Revlon Photoready Skinlights in Pink Light:  For a ton of glow on the cheek bones.

Soleil Tan De Chanel: The ultimate universal cream bronzer that works on my fair skin.

I love this look for effortless, feminine glamour.

Makeup of the Day: August 21st, 2014

Today was all about the purples.

The By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Misty Rock was my starting point.  I absolutely love the sparkly and sophisticated look it gives to the eyes with just a simple swipe.  (Check out my in depth review here.)  I placed Misty Rock all over the lid and along the lower lash line and blended it out with Limit from the Naked 3 Palette in the crease. Limit and Nooner are great transition shades from this palette which I reviewed as well.

To stay consistent with the purple theme I went with Sin blush from Nars. The dark purple color may seem intimidating for a blush shade, but it’s actually very wearable as I explain here.

Finally, Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fig topped off the look with bold purple lips.
